Programs Offer Manna for the Body and for the Soul

Participate with us…

We invite you to attend any of our gatherings for loving fellowship, biblical instruction and opportunities to serve. Aside from our Sunday morning Worship service and Sunday School, we also have small weekly groups centered on reading and applying God’s word to our lives.

Small Groups – “Listening to Jesus Groups”

We call these “20-20-20 groups” as they are based on the approach found in “The Divine Mentor” by Wayne Cordeiro: 20 minutes of scripture reading (believing that God wants to speak to us directly today), 20 minutes of personal reflection (SOAP — Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer), and 20 minutes of sharing and prayer. Currently, these are offered Tuesday (4:30 pm), Wednesday (3:30 pm), and Thursday (2:00 pm), and you can call the church office for further details. Each of these offer opportunities to have fellowship and instruction, but the Christian life is not complete without service.

Opportunities to serve each month

So, while we offer many different types of opportunities to serve throughout the year, there are two monthly opportunities to serve our community.

The first Monday of the month (Jesus Multiplies) and the third Saturday (Food4Life), we offer perishable food and clothing. Please call the church office for more information regarding these outreaches.

Food 4 Life Monthly Distributions

On the third Saturday of each month, New Life Community Church of the Nazarene’s Compassionate Ministries, in partnership with Caring Ministries, is blessed to distribute ~4,000 pounds of FREE food such as dairy products, fruits, vegetables, prepared foods, breads, and desserts to people in our community.

We have been blessed to provide clothing and some household goods to those who come to the distribution. Clothing distribution begins at 8:30 am

Sign-in begins at 8:00 AM, and distribution and cleanup are finished by 12:30 PM.

This is a first-come, first-served event. Many line up as early as 7:00 AM. Pre-registration is available to those who attend the Sunday morning worship services or the Wednesday night bible studies in the week prior to Food 4 Life Saturday.
